Madrid want Trent for Club World Cup
Real Madrid are reportedly hoping to have the right-back available for the upcoming Club World Cup, which kicks off on June 14. The problem is that Alexander-Arnold’s contract with Liverpool doesn’t expire until June 30.
That’s why, according to the report, Real Madrid have approached Liverpool and asked that the player be released early — without any compensation. ESPN previously reported that Liverpool are demanding around €1 million to let him go before the official end of his contract, but Real Madrid are unwilling to meet that price.

Although it has long been an open secret that Alexander-Arnold will leave Anfield this summer, Real Madrid have not yet officially confirmed the transfer. The expected contract is reportedly set to run for six years.
