Fabio Miretti could be approaching the end of a relationship with Juventus that began when he was only eight years old. The Italian midfielder is reportedly close to joining Beşiktaş after the clubs made progress over a loan agreement. A medical examination and signed contracts are still required before the move can be considered complete.
The proposed formula has changed
According to TuttomercatoWeb reporter Lorenzo Di Benedetto, the clubs have reached an agreement on a loan with a €15 million option to buy. Miretti was expected to travel to Turkey for his medical before signing his contract. Neither Juventus nor Beşiktaş had announced the transfer when the agreement was reported.
The structure had previously been described differently by A Spor. The Turkish outlet reported that Beşiktaş had offered €13 million through a conditional purchase option, while Juventus wanted more than €15 million and an obligation to buy. The later Italian report indicates that the clubs may have found a compromise, but official confirmation remains essential.
A long education in Turin
Miretti joined the Juventus academy in 2011 and progressed through every level before making his senior debut against Malmö in the Champions League in December 2021. According to Juventus’ official profile of the midfielder, he has made 106 first team appearances for the club. He has scored three goals and provided eight assists during that period.

The 23 year old also spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Genoa, where he recorded three goals and three assists in 25 Serie A appearances. That experience showed he could handle regular football away from Turin, but it did not guarantee a permanent place in the Juventus midfield. His current contract runs until the summer of 2028.
Beşiktaş can offer a clearer role
Beşiktaş are now coached by Vincenzo Italiano, who joined after leaving Bologna. The Italian coach is reported to have identified Miretti as an important midfield target, while the player is open to continuing his career in Istanbul. Regular football could become easier to find in Turkey than in a crowded Juventus squad.
The remaining steps should not be treated as formalities until they have taken place. Miretti must pass his medical, approve the final contract and receive official clearance from both clubs. The move appears close, but he remains a Juventus player until those conditions are completed.
