Taylor Swift was less than 24 hours removed from closing out the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles when she walked into a suite at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday. The clip now circulating has nothing to do with her husband Travis Kelce or the scoreboard.
Video shared on social media shows a woman standing just outside Swift’s suite turning around and raising her phone toward the singer. Swift gestured at her and then pointed back toward the field, seemingly asking her to stop recording and watch the game.
A man in a green shirt, who fans online identified as part of Swift’s security detail, had already waved the fan off before the phone came up. After Swift’s gesture, he stepped closer and guided the fan away from the suite window.
Swift watched the game alongside Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and musician Este Haim. Neither she nor the Chiefs have commented on the moment.
From gala stage to Arrowhead suite
Her trip to Kansas City came after a late Saturday night in Los Angeles. Swift performed four songs with a full band at the sixth Academy Museum Gala on October 17, including the live debut of “The Fate of Ophelia,” followed by “Love Story,” “Blank Space” and the new “Toy Story 5” track “I Knew It, I Knew You.” The event honoured John Carpenter, Charlize Theron and Colman Domingo, and raised more than $14 million.
Within hours she was in Missouri. Arrowhead Stadium has become a familiar stop since her relationship with Kelce became public.
Walker and Mahomes do the damage
Kelce caught four passes for 53 yards. He picked up an ankle knock early in the game before returning to action. The heavy lifting came from running back Kenneth Walker III, who ran for 128 yards and two touchdowns, with Xavier Worthy adding seven catches for 73 yards.
Patrick Mahomes threw for 272 yards and picked up his 100th regular-season win as a starter, tying Tom Brady for the fewest starts to that mark at 131. The Chargers, led by Justin Herbert, dropped to 0-6.
