Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany was said to be dreaming of pairing Désiré Doué with Michael Olise in Munich. Paris Saint-Germain moved first.
The European champions have tabled a contract extension offer that would keep the 21-year-old France international at the Parc des Princes until either 2031 or 2032. His current deal, signed when he joined from Rennes in 2024, runs out in June 2029.
The new terms include a significant salary increase. According to Goal, the club’s objective is “to remunerate him in line with his importance within the team.”
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City had all been monitoring the situation. According to TEAMtalk, the three Premier League clubs were left in no doubt that Doué was not looking to leave and was ready to commit his long-term future to PSG.

Bayern’s second run at Doué in two years
Bayern have pursued Doué once already. In the summer of 2024, the German champions were in a direct fight with PSG for the then-Rennes forward. Rennes turned down Bayern’s bid and Doué chose Paris. Olise joined Bayern from Crystal Palace that same summer.
Planète PSG reports Kompany is still dreaming of an Olise-Doué partnership, and that Bayern could try to disrupt the Paris talks before the extension is signed.
Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia next in line
The Doué offer sits inside a wider push by PSG to tie down the squad that lifted the Champions League under Luis Enrique. Ousmane Dembélé is close to a new deal running until 2030, while talks with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are at an advanced stage.
Doué has established himself as a regular in Luis Enrique’s rotation this season. An agreement has yet to be finalized.
