Trafford’s attempted pass out from the back drove straight at Justin Kluivert, who rolled it across for Evanilson to finish. Leeds never recovered at the Vitality Stadium.
Amine Adli settled it in the 94th minute, converting after substitute Eli Junior Kroupi threaded a pass through Ethan Ampadu’s legs. Leeds had their own clearest chance ruled out as early as the 11th minute, when Dominic Calvert-Lewin turned home a Harry Wilson cross only for VAR to disallow the finish for handball.
A streak almost no one is talking about
Marco Rose’s side have now won six in a row across all competitions, and conceded nothing in any of them. The run takes in Sturm Graz, Sunderland, AC Milan, Manchester United, Aston Villa and Leeds, a mix of Europa League, Carabao Cup and Premier League opposition.
The Premier League’s own match report notes the result also lifted Rose’s team above Leeds in the table, after a slow opening to the season.

Evanilson’s longest top-flight run
The Brazilian has now scored in four Premier League matches in a row, his longest run in the competition. He has four goals and four assists across those four games, taking him to eight Premier League goal involvements this season.
Leeds were held to one shot on target from ten attempts, with their expected goals total stuck at 0.61. It is now five Premier League matches without a win for Daniel Farke’s side.
Farke puts the loss on Trafford
Farke did not try to dress the opening goal up as anything other than what it was. Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, he called it “self-inflicted, an own goal.”
Rose, meanwhile, pointed to the lively cameo from 20-year-old Kroupi, whose nutmeg on Ampadu set up Adli’s late second.
