Giannis storms back as NBA night flips streaks and standings
Giannis returns and steadies Milwaukee
According to BBC Sport, Giannis Antetokounmpo made an immediate impact in his first game back from injury, scoring 29 points to guide the Milwaukee Bucks to a 112,103 win over the Chicago Bulls.
The Bucks had struggled during Antetokounmpo’s absence, losing six of the eight games he missed with a right calf strain. His return provided stability at both ends of the floor and helped Milwaukee control the closing stages of the contest.
Chicago’s defeat ended a five game winning run, though the Bulls remain ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, two places above Milwaukee as the season edges deeper into its middle phase.
Wembanyama shines but Spurs stumble
Elsewhere, BBC Sport reported that Victor Wembanyama also returned to action after an injury layoff, scoring 32 points in his first start since mid November. Despite his strong showing, the San Antonio Spurs fell 127,114 to the Utah Jazz.

Utah’s win was built on collective scoring rather than a single standout performance. Lauri Markkanen led the way with 29 points, while Keyonte George added 28, a combination that proved enough to halt San Antonio’s eight game winning streak.
Career nights and historic numbers
In Orlando, Anthony Black produced the best performance of his young career, pouring in 38 points as the Magic edged the Denver Nuggets 127,126, according to BBC Sport.
Nikola Jokic was again central for Denver, recording 21 rebounds and 12 assists to claim the 180th triple double of his career. That total leaves him just one behind Oscar Robertson for second place on the NBA’s all time list, though it was not enough to secure a win.
Momentum shifts across the league
The night’s results highlighted how quickly momentum can swing in the NBA. The New York Knicks held off the Atlanta Hawks 128,125, while the Sacramento Kings snapped a difficult stretch by defeating the Dallas Mavericks 113,107, only their second victory in eight games.
