Liverpool star taken to hospital after on-field collision
Anfield relief fades quickly
Liverpool enjoyed a brief lift over the weekend as the men’s team secured a 2 to 0 Premier League win over Aston Villa at Anfield. Goals from Mohamed Salah and Ryan Gravenberch earned Arne Slot’s side a much needed domestic victory after a difficult run.
While the performance itself was workmanlike rather than dominant, the result provided momentum ahead of a demanding Champions League fixture against Real Madrid.
According to Transfer News Live, that sense of progress was short lived as worrying news emerged from elsewhere in the club.
Frightening incident in wsl clash
Concern spread during Liverpool Women’s league match against Tottenham Hotspur when forward Mia Enderby was involved in a heavy collision. The 20 year old challenged for a loose ball with Spurs defender Amanda Nilden and came down awkwardly, making contact with the ground head first.

Play was stopped immediately once the ball went out, allowing medical staff to enter the pitch. Players from both teams gathered nearby as treatment continued, with the seriousness of the situation quickly becoming clear.
Long stoppage and hospital transfer
The match was paused for approximately 15 minutes as Enderby received on field care. She was eventually taken away on a stretcher.
Liverpool Women later confirmed that the player was transported to hospital by ambulance for further assessment. No update on her condition has yet been made public.
According to Transfer News Live, the incident cast a sombre mood over the remainder of the match, which Liverpool went on to lose.

Results take a back seat
The defeat added to a difficult start to the Women’s Super League season for Liverpool, who remain without a win and sit 11th in the table after losing all of their matches so far.
However, the immediate concern within the club has shifted away from league position. Attention is now firmly on Enderby’s recovery, with staff and supporters awaiting further news following the frightening scenes.
