Manchester City Announce Major New Partnership

Manchester City on Wednesday announced a new, wide-ranging partnership with BYD Group, the world’s leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles and sustainable mobility solutions.

As part of the agreement, BYD will become the official car partner of both the club’s men’s and women’s teams.

For Manchester City, the deal represents a natural extension of the club’s efforts to integrate greener solutions into its operations and facilities.

For BYD, the agreement provides an opportunity to strengthen its connection with the club’s global fanbase and increase awareness of its products and technologies.

From today, BYD’s logo will appear on the sleeve of the men’s first-team shirts, while the women’s team will feature the branding from next season.

This makes the car manufacturer a permanent part of the club’s visual identity on matchdays.

Strong Visibility On and Off the Pitch

The partnership includes the supply of BYD and DENZA vehicles to the club, as well as the installation and operation of charging infrastructure and energy storage batteries at the City Football Academy.

The initiative supports Manchester City’s work to reduce its carbon footprint and implement more sustainable energy solutions.

At the Etihad Stadium, BYD will receive prominent exposure through LED advertising during matches and logos placed in the technical area.

In addition, one of the company’s vehicles will lead Manchester City’s official team bus into the stadium for Premier League and domestic cup fixtures, giving the partnership a highly visible role in the team’s arrival.

The agreement also includes support for future global community initiatives in collaboration with the City Football Foundation.
