Hamilton breaks silence on Kim Kardashian rumours
Lewis Hamilton kept his focus on Formula 1’s new season in Bahrain this week, brushing aside questions about his private life as pre-season testing got underway.
The seven-time world champion posted a fastest lap of 1:36.433 on the opening day, placing seventh overall as teams gathered data ahead of the 2026 campaign. Reigning world champion Lando Norris led the timesheets with a 1:34.669.
Offering an early impression of the new-spec car, Hamilton sounded encouraged.
"The car is shorter, it's lighter, and it's actually easier to catch," he said.

"It's quite fun, it's like rallying a lot. Yeah, I think we're slower than GP2 [F2], right now, right? I mean, it does feel like that."
But as is often the case with high-profile drivers, attention away from the circuit followed him to the paddock.
In recent weeks, British tabloid reports have linked Hamilton with US media personality Kim Kardashian. The Sun reported that Kardashian, 45, travelled from the United States to Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire earlier this month.
The speculation grew after the two were seen together at Super Bowl LX at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, where the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots 29-13. Video of them talking in the stands circulated widely online. The Daily Mail later cited lip reader Nicola Hickling, who claimed Hamilton appeared to say: "No I don't take just any girl to my mom, I mean you're gonna meet someday, she is very excited to see you."

Unsurprisingly, the subject surfaced during Hamilton’s media duties in Bahrain.
Sky Sports F1 reporter Ted Kravitz told viewers the driver had been asked about the rumours in a written press session.
"I know what you're thinking. Kravitz, you chickened out of asking him about his new relationship with Kim Kardashian," Kravitz said.
"Well, I can tell you he was asked that in the written press. He was asked 'Did you enjoy your company more than the game at the Super Bowl?' And he said, 'It's my private life, I'm not talking about that'. So that's me told."

Kravitz added that he had considered asking whether Kardashian might become a "tifosi" a Ferrari supporter but decided against it, noting Hamilton was unlikely to expand.
Hamilton has consistently kept his relationships out of the spotlight, and his brief response in Bahrain followed that pattern. With several more days of testing still to come, the priority publicly at least remains performance rather than personal headlines.
