Koopmeiners exit looms as Roma push for reunion

Juventus could be willing to sanction the sale of Teun Koopmeiners if their valuation is met, as interest builds ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport, Juventus would consider offers of at least £26 million for the 28 year old Netherlands international. The club signed Koopmeiners from Atalanta in 2024 for a reported £52 million, meaning a departure at that figure would represent a substantial financial loss.

Italian outlet Calciomercato also reports that Juventus are open to proposals in the region of €30 million as they assess how to reshape their squad before next season.

Roma step up pursuit

According to Tuttosport and Calciomercato, Roma are actively exploring a move to bring Koopmeiners to the Stadio Olimpico. The capital club are said to be evaluating whether to formalize their interest once the transfer window approaches.

A switch to Roma would see Koopmeiners reunited with Gian Piero Gasperini, his former manager at Atalanta. Under Gasperini, Koopmeiners developed into one of Serie A’s most complete midfielders, capable of contributing both defensively and in attack.

While no formal bid has been submitted, Roma are currently regarded by the Italian press as the most serious contender should Juventus give the green light to a sale.

Galatasaray monitor situation

Galatasaray have also been linked with the midfielder. According to Tuttosport, the Turkish champions renewed their interest after recent matches in which they faced Juventus, prompting fresh scouting assessments.

At this stage, however, Roma appear better positioned to advance negotiations if Juventus formally open the door to his exit. Much could still change in the months leading up to the summer window, particularly if additional clubs enter the frame.
