Arsenal ready to ship out wonderkid Myles Lewis-Skelly as Everton circle loan move
Arsenal are considering a loan move for academy product Myles Lewis-Skelly next season as the club looks to accelerate the young defender’s development.
According to Football Insider, the North London side believe a temporary transfer could provide the 19-year-old with valuable first team experience after his opportunities became more limited during the current campaign.
Lewis-Skelly impressed during his breakthrough period with Arsenal but has struggled to secure consistent Premier League minutes in recent months.
Competition growing in Arsenal defence
The young defender has found game time harder to secure since the turn of the year, making just one league start since January.

Increased competition in Mikel Arteta’s squad has pushed Lewis-Skelly further down the pecking order, with players such as Piero Hincapié and Riccardo Calafiori currently competing for places in defence.
Despite the limited minutes, Arsenal continue to rate Lewis-Skelly highly and view him as an important long term prospect for the club.
Everton linked with possible loan move
A temporary move away from the Emirates Stadium is therefore being explored as a way for the defender to gain consistent senior minutes.
According to Football Insider, Everton are one of the clubs being linked with a potential loan deal if Arsenal decide to move forward with the plan.

The Merseyside club could provide Lewis-Skelly with regular Premier League opportunities while allowing Arsenal to closely monitor his progress during the spell away from North London.
Loan move could shape Lewis-Skelly’s development
If a deal is arranged, the loan spell would likely be viewed as a key step in Lewis-Skelly’s development pathway at Arsenal.
Regular top flight football could help the young defender gain experience and confidence before potentially returning to challenge for a place in Arteta’s first team squad in the future.
