Camp Nou among contenders to host 2030 World Cup final
Barcelona’s Camp Nou could emerge as one of the leading venues to stage the 2030 FIFA World Cup final after a recent visit by FIFA officials.
According to Spanish sports newspaper Mundo Deportivo, representatives from world football’s governing body inspected the stadium as part of ongoing preparations for the tournament, which will be hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco, with opening matches scheduled in South America.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on social media that FIFA delegates left the visit impressed with the progress of the venue’s redevelopment.
Mundo Deportivo reported that officials were “very satisfied” with the inspection, raising the possibility that the stadium could be chosen to host the tournament’s showpiece match.

If selected, the Catalan venue would stage the final of football’s biggest international tournament, placing Barcelona at the center of the global event.
Several major stadiums across the host nations are expected to compete for the honor of hosting the final, with FIFA yet to confirm the venue.
