Sinner joins Federer and Djokovic with Indian Wells title
Jannik Sinner captured the final piece of his hard-court résumé on Sunday, overcoming Daniil Medvedev in a narrow straight-sets win to claim his first Indian Wells title.
Playing in intense desert heat, the world number two held firm in the key moments, taking the final 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-4) without facing a break point.
According to BBC Sport, the victory means Sinner has now won every major title available on hard courts — including the Australian Open, US Open, all six Masters 1,000 events on the surface, and the ATP Finals. At 24, he is the youngest player to achieve that milestone.
The feat puts him alongside Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer as the only men to complete the set. BBC Sport notes that Andre Agassi also swept the hard-court events available during his era, along with both majors and the season-ending championships.

Sinner said the achievement was especially meaningful given his focus on the tournament coming in.
"I knew that this was a tournament I haven't won, so I wanted to prepare in the best possible way, as professionally as possible," he said.
"Having this achievement now means a lot to me. Now I have couple of days to relax - there is not so much time in between here and Miami.
"It's again an important tournament in Miami, but we try to play the best tennis possible there too."

His performance in the final reflected that preparation. BBC Sport reported that Sinner dropped just four points behind his first serve, struck 10 aces and won 43 of 47 first-serve points, consistently putting Medvedev under pressure.
The result continues a strong recent run in the matchup. Sinner has now won nine of his past 10 meetings with Medvedev and secured the title without dropping a set, the 25th of his career.
Medvedev still threatened to extend the contest. He saved both break points he faced and surged into a 4-0 lead in the second-set tie-break, only for Sinner to respond with seven consecutive points to close out the win.
The tour now shifts quickly to Miami, where Sinner is expected to be among the leading contenders as the hard-court swing continues.
