Supercomputer predicts full 2025/26 Premier League table
With the Premier League season entering its final stretch, attention is shifting toward how the title race, European spots and relegation battle could unfold.
According to Opta’s latest supercomputer simulations, Arsenal are currently best placed to lift the trophy, with projections suggesting Mikel Arteta’s side will finish on 84 points. If that outcome holds, it would mark the club’s first league title since the 2003/04 “Invincibles” campaign.
Relegation battle may break recent pattern
At the bottom of the table, the data points to a departure from recent seasons. In both 2023/24 and 2024/25, all three promoted teams were relegated, but this time the model gives both Sunderland and Leeds United a chance of survival.
Burnley are forecast to go down, with projections placing them 19th on 26 points after a difficult run of results. West Ham United are also tipped to drop despite signs of improvement, with an expected total of 36 points leaving them 18th.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, whose early-season struggles have left them playing catch-up, are projected to finish bottom on 24 points.
Tight margins above the drop zone
Just above the relegation places, the picture remains finely balanced. Leeds are projected to finish 15th, narrowly clear of Nottingham Forest.
Tottenham Hotspur, after a season disrupted by managerial changes and inconsistent form, are expected to avoid relegation but only just, with a projected 17th-place finish. The simulations underline how little separates several sides hovering near the bottom.
Mid-table congestion expected
Further up the table, a tightly packed midfield is predicted. Newcastle United are forecast to finish 11th, level on points with Sunderland but ahead on goal difference.

Bournemouth and Crystal Palace are expected to follow, while Fulham, Brighton, Everton and Brentford are all projected to secure top-half finishes without seriously threatening the Champions League places.
Liverpool, who won the title last season, are predicted to finish fifth on 60 points, suggesting a step back despite high expectations. Chelsea are close behind in sixth after a campaign marked by inconsistency.
Arsenal lead the title race
At the top, Arsenal hold a clear advantage in the projections. Manchester City are expected to finish second on 74 points, leaving them with ground to make up in the closing weeks.
Manchester United, revitalized under Michael Carrick, are forecast to climb to third, while Aston Villa are projected to complete the top four.

While the supercomputer’s projections are based on current form, results and remaining fixtures, the model does not account for every variable—leaving room for further twists before the season concludes.
