“Brother for life!! We’ve been through it all together! I’m going to miss you, legend,” Robertson wrote.
The farewell to Alexander-Arnold marks the beginning of a larger overhaul in Liverpool’s defense, where manager Arne Slot now has to find a new right-back for next season.
This comes after a successful debut season for Slot, who led Liverpool to the Premier League title in his first season.
According to Football Insider, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is at the top of the wishlist for replacing Alexander-Arnold.

The club is also considering the future at left-back.
Although Robertson is staying for now, his form has been inconsistent, and at 31, he is approaching the twilight of his career.
Bournemouth’s young full-back Milos Kerkez is mentioned as the first choice to take over, and according to the media, Kerkez has expressed a clear desire to move to Anfield.
A Farewell and a Changing of the Guard
While Alexander-Arnold is now preparing for new challenges in Spain, Liverpool looks to the future with both sentimentality and determination.

Robertson is still an important figure in the locker room, but the club is working to secure the next generation of full-backs to continue the tradition of attacking quality on the flanks.
With the transfer window approaching, Slot will have to balance maintaining continuity while building on success, making this summer set to be both emotional and busy at Anfield.
