Désiré Doué is being watched by three of the Premier League’s biggest clubs, yet the race for him may be decided in a Paris boardroom rather than on the pitch.
TEAMtalk, as relayed by Transfer News Live, reports that Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City have all run checks on the 21-year-old France international this year, only to meet the same obstacle: PSG are moving quickly to extend his contract and keep him in the French capital.
PSG make the first move before January
Doué’s current deal runs until 2029. According to RMC Sport, via PSG Talk, the French champions have already tabled “a first verbal offer” aimed at both lengthening that contract and lifting his salary, with the goal of building the squad around him for the long term.
L’Équipe, cited by Get French Football News, has reported that the proposed extension would run until either 2031 or 2032 and include a significant pay rise reflecting his standing in Luis Enrique’s set-up.

Doué scored twice in the Champions League final against Inter Milan on 31 May 2025, when PSG beat the Italian club 5-0 to lift the trophy for the first time in the club’s history.
English interest, but little encouragement
For Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City, the signal from Paris has reportedly been uniform. TEAMtalk’s reporting states that the three clubs checked on Doué’s availability earlier this year and received little encouragement, with PSG increasingly confident of locking him in rather than letting him go.
Bayern Munich sit in the background. They attempted to sign Doué from Stade Rennais before his move to PSG in 2024 and, according to the same reporting, retain an interest should the Paris talks ever collapse.
There is no public sign of that happening. Doué is said to have made clear he is prepared to commit his future to the club, which would push any serious transfer approach into 2027 at the earliest.

Nothing signed yet
The extension has not been finalised. RMC Sport frames the current proposal as a first verbal offer, with length and salary still to be nailed down, and negotiations of this size typically run through several rounds before either side signs. Doué’s existing contract still runs until 2029, and the new agreement, as outlined by L’Équipe, would carry him through to either 2031 or 2032.
