New transfer speculation has emerged around England captain Harry Kane, linking the prolific striker with a potential move to FC Barcelona. However, despite the Spanish champions reportedly investigating the possibility of signing the 32-year-old, the latest reports indicate Kane remains firmly committed to Bayern Munich and intends to sign a new contract with the German giants.

Currently leading England’s charge at the World Cup, where he has netted five goals for The Three Lions, Kane’s focus remains on the tournament. England, managed by Thomas Tuchel, has advanced to the round of 16 and is set to face Mexico.

Barcelona’s approach, Kane’s commitment

Transfer journalist Christian Falk revealed that Barcelona indeed made contact with Kane’s representatives. While the interest from the Spanish club reportedly flattered the former Tottenham star, a move to Catalonia appears highly unlikely. Kane’s clear intention is to stay in Munich.

Christian Falk, reporting via cfbayerninsider.com, stated, “It is true. Harry Kane’s representatives were contacted by Barcelona. Barcelona has no chance of snatching Kane from Bayern Munich. He will stay in Munich and sign a new contract.”

Bayern’s plans, World Cup focus

Bayern Munich views Kane as a central figure in their long-term project and is eager to secure his future. The club expects to initiate discussions for a contract extension soon, but Kane has made it clear he wishes to address negotiations only after the World Cup concludes.

Falk further emphasized Kane’s loyalty to his current club. “Regardless, Kane will exclusively negotiate with Bayern Munich, and I believe they will find a solution,” he added. This commitment suggests that once his duties with the national team are complete, Kane will prioritize discussions with Bayern to extend his stay.

With England progressing well in the World Cup, Kane’s immediate attention is on international success. His five goals have been instrumental in guiding his team to the knockout stages, setting the stage for a crucial clash against Mexico. Only after the tournament will the focus shift back to his club future, where all signs point to a continued partnership with Bayern Munich.
