Several media outlets, including ABC, guessed the Cubs – but it quickly turned out to be a mistake.
A Pope with White Sox in His Blood
It is the pope’s brother, who still lives in the suburbs of Chicago, who has now set the record straight. According to him, there is no doubt.
“He is a very passionate White Sox fan,” he stated, according to Brobible.

Pope Leo XIV has previously shown a strong interest in sports, and although the pope’s duties likely leave little time to follow every game, it is unlikely that his sympathies will be forgotten.
