Carragher and Schmeichel clash as Henry leaves set
Thierry Henry briefly stepped away from the CBS Sports studio during a heated exchange between Jamie Carragher and Peter Schmeichel following Liverpool’s defeat to Paris Saint-Germain, as first reported by Sportbible.
The moment came during post-match coverage, where the pundits disagreed over Liverpool’s defensive performance in the 2-0 loss.
During the broadcast, Schmeichel argued that Liverpool’s shape had limited the damage.
“Liverpool were so compact at the back that it stopped PSG from scoring more than two goals,” he said on CBS Sports.

Carragher strongly disagreed, pointing to the number of chances PSG created.
“You're one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time,” Carragher said. “Liverpool weren't compact tonight, Peter. Peter, honestly, just leave it. Peter, the chances! They were ripped open. They were all over the place.”
As the discussion continued, Henry stepped away from the desk and out of frame before later returning and joking: “Can I come back?”
Schmeichel, speaking from the stadium on CBS, stood by his view and suggested Carragher’s reaction was influenced by his connection to Liverpool.

“Sitting here Jamie, I think you are perhaps more emotionally involved in this so I understand where you are,” he said.
“Sat here at the stadium it did not look like they were struggling too much when PSG had the ball in front of their box.
“I agree with some of the analysis you did there on the two goals, but I actually think it helped them having that many players at the back.”
Sportbible reported that the exchange followed a match in which PSG created a high number of chances despite scoring only twice, through Desire Doue and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Liverpool did not register a shot on target, according to the broadcast, a point that drew criticism from the CBS panel.
