Any club that signs Vitor Roque this winter will be paying twice. Palmeiras hold 80% of the Brazilian striker’s economic rights. Barcelona kept the other 20% when they sold him back to São Paulo in February 2025, according to Bolavip, and that detail now sits inside a four-way Premier League chase.

Palmeiras have set a minimum of €50m, roughly R$310m, to open negotiations. The Brazilian outlet says the São Paulo club have no intention of moving off that figure.

Roque’s agent, André Cury, confirmed the scale of the interest to Bolavip.

“Há muitos clubes da Europa interessados em Vitor,” Cury told the outlet, which translates as: there are many European clubs interested.

The Premier League interest

Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and Everton are the Premier League names in the frame. The Hard Tackle, citing Brazilian journalist Diego Firmino, reported on 3 November that Everton had identified Roque as a January target to reinforce an attack built around Thierno Barry.

None of the four clubs has made a public bid.

The Barcelona line in the deal

The 20% sell-on clause is the piece that makes this transfer unlike most. Palmeiras bought Roque from Barcelona for €25.5m in early 2025, after a difficult spell at Camp Nou. Any resale now sends a cut back to Catalonia, which means Palmeiras must price the move high enough to clear their own books after Barcelona have taken their share.

At €50m, Barcelona would stand to collect around €10m if Palmeiras’ asking price were met in full. That is before agent fees, solidarity payments and any add-ons are accounted for.

The player at the centre of it

Roque is contracted to Palmeiras until December 2029, which gives the Brazilian side no obligation to sell in January. He scored 20 goals in his debut season after returning from Spain and has added 10 goals in 40 appearances in 2026, a run interrupted by recurring ankle problems.
