Manchester City are on the verge of completing the signing of Antoine Semenyo after negotiations with Bournemouth reached a full agreement.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have now exchanged and finalised all contractual documents, clearing the way for the move to be completed once the remaining formalities are finished.

The deal is expected to be confirmed publicly following medical examinations scheduled later this week.

Romano reported that Semenyo is due to undergo medical tests on Thursday before putting pen to paper on a long term contract with City, which would see him move to the Etihad Stadium ahead of the new campaign.

Competition From Rivals

Interest in Semenyo had been strong across the Premier League, with four other top flight clubs attempting to secure his signature.

According to Romano, the forward ultimately chose Manchester City after assessing his options and deciding the club’s sporting direction best aligned with his career goals.

A key factor in that decision was the opportunity to work under Pep Guardiola, whose coaching track record played a decisive role in convincing the player.
