Club history

AEK Larnaca is a club with a relatively modern origin, formed in 1994 through the merger of two older Larnaca sides, Pezoporikos and EPA Larnaca. This union brought a new footballing identity to the coastal city, aiming to consolidate support and ambition into one unified entity.

Based in Cyprus, the club calls the 8000-capacity AEK Arena – George Karapatakis home, a venue that reflects their contemporary standing. While major silverware has so far eluded them, AEK Larnaca has worked to establish itself as a consistent presence in the Cypriot top flight.

They continue to compete at the highest level of Cypriot football, striving to make their mark and challenge for honours in a league often dominated by a few traditional powerhouses. The club embodies the ongoing drive to build a strong footballing future in Larnaca.
