Celje, a club deeply rooted in its Slovenian city, boasts a history that dates back to 1919. For over a century, this institution has been a constant and unwavering presence in Slovenian football, embodying the local pride and spirit of its community. They are more than just a team; they are a long-standing representative of Celje on the national stage.

Their home matches are played at the Stadion Z’dežele, a venue with a considerable capacity of over 13,000. This stadium stands as a testament to the club’s enduring local support and its ambition within the domestic game. While perhaps not adorned with a vast collection of major honours, Celje’s true legacy lies in its steadfast commitment to the sport and its role as a focal point for its city, continuing to compete year after year in the Slovenian football landscape.
