Donald Trump on Jake Paul: “You’re gonna be a politician”
President Donald Trump sparked speculation about a possible political future for social media star and boxer Jake Paul during a rally appearance in Kentucky.
According to reporting by Phoebe Tonks for LADbible, Trump made the unexpected comments while speaking at an event held at Verst Logistics in Hebron, Kentucky, where Paul was attending among the crowd.
During his speech, Trump paused to acknowledge the influencer and suggested that Paul could eventually pursue a career in politics.
"I'm going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office," Trump told the audience.

He then added, “You have my complete and total endorsement.”
Rally moment turns spotlight on Jake Paul
The moment drew a loud reaction from the audience as Trump continued speaking about Paul from the stage.
According to LADbible, the president pointed toward Paul in the crowd and joked about the influencer’s political leanings before inviting him to join him on stage.
"I didn't ask Jake who he voted for, but I don't think it was Kamala,” Trump said.

"I think your whole reputation would be shot if he said 'Oh, I voted for Kamala.' That would be the end of your whole career, Jake.”
The rally appearance came only a few months after Paul’s boxing loss to Anthony Joshua in December, a fight that drew significant media attention.

Trump also used the moment to highlight Paul’s media presence, particularly his podcast, BS w/ Jake Paul.
According to LADbible’s report by Phoebe Tonks, Trump told the crowd that he had been invited to appear on the podcast and praised the influencer’s reach.

"His podcast is big stuff and he's big stuff," Trump said. "This guy has guts.”
After the remarks, Paul walked onto the stage to address the audience.

Once at the podium, Paul thanked Trump and spoke about the influence the president had on his outlook.
“What Mr. Trump has taught me is courage," Paul said.

"We never back down from a fight, even if they're much bigger than you, much, much bigger than you.”
Paul also referenced lessons from his upbringing and his father, saying that speaking openly about political views has always been encouraged in his family.
"My dad taught me to fight and all of our voices matter in America. I'm never afraid to speak the truth.”
Jake Paul’s previous support for Trump
Paul has previously expressed support for Trump and conservative political positions.

According to LADbible, the former Disney Channel actor publicly backed Trump during the 2024 campaign and shared his views with followers on his YouTube channel.
At the time, Paul encouraged viewers to research political issues themselves while announcing his endorsement of Trump.
His appearance at the Kentucky rally has now added fresh speculation about whether the influencer could someday move from internet fame and boxing into a more formal role in politics.
