John Terry hits out at Chelsea owners following Liam Rosenior sacking
Chelsea’s ongoing instability under BlueCo ownership has drawn criticism from former captain John Terry, who says he is increasingly worried about the club’s direction following the latest managerial departure.
According to SportBible, Liam Rosenior was dismissed on April 22, just a day after Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton a result that effectively weakened their already slim chances of securing Champions League qualification. Rosenior had publicly described the performance as “indefensible” prior to his exit.
The 40-year-old lasted just over three months in charge, overseeing 11 wins in 23 matches across all competitions. Chelsea currently sit eighth in the Premier League with only a handful of fixtures remaining this season.
Rosenior’s departure marks yet another managerial change during BlueCo’s ownership, continuing a pattern of short-lived appointments that has contributed to uncertainty both on and off the pitch.

In response, Terry now working in a part-time role within Chelsea’s academy voiced his frustration in a post shared via Chels HQ on social media.
“I sit here worrying tonight about what is going to happen with our football club,” he said.
He questioned the club’s ability to attract a top-level replacement under current conditions, adding: “Looking at us needing a manager after the weekend, I’m not sure when ownership is going to make a decision and bring a new manager in.”
Terry also pointed to broader concerns, including potential player departures, restrictions in the transfer market, and the likelihood of missing out on European competition next season factors he suggested could deter elite candidates.

Chelsea have appointed Calum McFarlane as interim head coach for the remainder of the campaign. Several names have already been linked with the role, including Flamengo manager Filipe Luís, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, Como boss Cesc Fàbregas and Fulham’s Marco Silva.
Terry further revealed he had not been contacted about any potential involvement following Enzo Maresca’s earlier exit in January.
“I have not had a call, I have not had a message,” he said, confirming he will continue his work with the academy.
Despite his concerns, Terry indicated his support for the interim setup and the squad ahead of their next fixture an FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United at Wembley on April 26.
