Liverpool confirmed the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, agreeing a package worth up to £123m for the 23-year-old France international, who has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Anfield.
With Barcola unveiled and roughly seventeen hours to run before the 11pm UK time deadline on Tuesday, Iraola’s squad is not settled yet. Three more moves are in motion, and each of them is stacked on the one before.
Mamardashvili the domino
Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili is the piece that has to fall first. Nottingham Forest, under Oliver Glasner, have made a late approach for the 25-year-old, who has grown restless as understudy to Alisson Becker.
Liverpool have already agreed a £30m fee with Belgian side Genk for 18-year-old goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans, but the incoming deal only activates if Mamardashvili leaves for the City Ground on Tuesday. Real Madrid had been circling Brughmans before Liverpool moved.

The head coach has been open about how tight the window has felt.
“We’ve been patient all summer and now we just have to wait. We just have to wait a couple more days and see how we finish,” Iraola said.
Elliott bound for Valencia
Harvey Elliott is close to a loan exit. The 23-year-old midfielder flew to Spain on Sunday to complete a medical with Valencia after personal terms were agreed, with the La Liga club expected to cover a share of his wages for the 2026/27 season.
Iraola had signalled the direction of travel last week.

“With Harvey… I can only choose 20. Harvey is trying and improving every week but I still prefer other options, about the balance on the bench,” the Liverpool head coach told reporters.
Elliott has one year left on his Anfield deal, and the season in Spain could effectively decide his long-term future on Merseyside.
Gakpo stays, for now
Cody Gakpo will not follow him out. Liverpool turned down a Manchester City bid worth up to around £80m for the Netherlands forward, with captain Virgil van Dijk publicly urging the club to keep him. Barcola’s arrival had been expected to open a Gakpo exit; that door has stayed shut.
Iraola, who replaced Arne Slot as head coach this summer, has spent the window rebuilding the attack. Barcola arrives on the back of earlier additions Víctor Muñoz, Jérémy Jacquet and Ronald Araújo, and is the most expensive signing of the 2026 Premier League summer window.
