Alexander Isak is now the highest-valued player at Anfield. That is the headline change in FootballTransfers’ November 2026 valuations, and it is a line nobody at Liverpool would have predicted when Florian Wirtz arrived in the summer of 2025 for what was, at the time, a British record fee of up to £116m.
Wirtz’s estimated transfer value (ETV) now stands at €79.3m, down €37.2m in a single month. FootballTransfers’ latest update notes that Dominik Szoboszlai is also above Wirtz in the Liverpool squad, with an ETV north of €100m. Isak leads the way.
The reset has been building for weeks. Wirtz went 740 minutes this season without scoring for the club at one point, a drought that cost him his starting place in matchday squads along the way.
Iraola draws a line around the German
Asked about the goal count, head coach Andoni Iraola refused to frame his No.10 as a finisher.

“He’s not a No.10 or a second striker who is going to score 15 goals this year,” Iraola told the El Boro podcast, in comments reported on 25 October 2026.
The case Iraola has made publicly rests on possession, control and chances created for team-mates rather than on the scoresheet. On those terms, Wirtz has provided two Premier League assists so far this season, and his Champions League performance in the win over LASK was described as arguably his best in a Liverpool shirt. A first Premier League goal, however, has not yet arrived.
The number January will not ignore
ETVs are projections, not fees, and they would not dictate what Liverpool could demand if a bidder arrived. But the direction of travel is the point. €79.3m is around two-thirds of the £116m Liverpool committed to Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2025, and Isak and Szoboszlai are both now modelled above Wirtz inside the Liverpool squad.
Iraola’s title at the club is head coach, confirmed on Liverpool’s official site following his appointment in the summer of 2026. His November task is a specific one: turn Wirtz’s assists and build-up work into goals before the January window opens.
