Kelly Piquet is back in Monaco after a short getaway to Paris, where she soaked up the charm of the French capital. Now in the final stretch of her pregnancy, the girlfriend of Max Verstappen is preparing for the arrival of their first child together.
A Final Trip Before Motherhood
During her stay in Paris, Piquet visited the museum of renowned fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and took in the iconic Arc de Triomphe. She also shared glimpses of her luxurious hotel stay on Instagram, offering a look at her last moments of travel before stepping into a new chapter of motherhood.
Back in Monaco, the focus has shifted entirely to the baby’s arrival. While the exact due date remains unknown, Piquet has hinted that the countdown has truly begun. She previously mentioned that she finds it hard to sit still during her pregnancy, a testament to her dynamic lifestyle.
As Piquet prepares for their child’s arrival, Verstappen remains immersed in his Formula 1 season. The Dutch driver kicked off the campaign with a second-place finish in the opening race in Australia, coming in behind Lando Norris.
Next up is the Chinese Grand Prix on March 23, where Verstappen will also compete in his first sprint race of the season. Despite his packed schedule, he seems ready to balance racing with impending fatherhood.
Piquet’s Second Child
For Piquet, this will be her second child. She is already a mother to her daughter, Penelope, from her previous relationship with former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat. Verstappen and Penelope share a close bond, often spending time together in moments that frequently make their way to social media.
Interestingly, Kvyat was once Verstappen’s teammate at Red Bull, before the Dutchman took over his seat in 2015 and began his meteoric rise in Formula 1. Now, Verstappen and Piquet are set to welcome their first child together, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in their lives.
