Milan investigation uncovers alleged prostitution ring involving Serie A footballers

An investigation coordinated by the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has uncovered an alleged prostitution ring, reportedly involving an event agency and at least 70 footballers from major Italian clubs, alongside other high-profile individuals.

The agency, Ma. De. Milano, located in Cinisello Balsamo, is currently under investigation for exploitation and aiding prostitution. Its owners, Emanuele Buttini and Deborah Ronchi, along with two collaborators, Alessio Salamone and Luan Fraga, have been placed under house arrest as part of the ongoing inquiry led by Deputy Prosecutor Bruna Albertini.

The alleged operation and its scale

According to reports from Ansa, quoted by gazzetta, the alleged ring facilitated parties and services for wealthy clients, including numerous professional footballers. Clubs mentioned in connection with players who allegedly participated in these events include:

  • Inter
  • Milan
  • Juventus
  • Verona
  • Torino
  • Monza
  • Sassuolo

The investigation has revealed substantial financial transactions, with over €194,000 transferred via bank transfers to the event agency. The total amount of money allegedly involved in the operation is estimated to be €1.2 million.

High-profile clientele and alleged services

The services offered to clients reportedly included dinner shows in luxury restaurants, with options to continue the evening in exclusive clubs or hotel rooms. Specific locations mentioned in the ordinance include the Just Cavalli club and the Me hotel in Piazza della Repubblica, as well as the Duca at the Me Milan hotel.

The clientele extended beyond football, encompassing entrepreneurs, VIPs, and other famous individuals, including a Formula 1 driver. Intercepted conversations shed light on the breadth of the alleged services. In one instance, a collaborator was heard asking: "I have a Formula One driver friend who wants a paid girl, can we find one?"

The investigation also noted the reported use of "laughing gas" (droga del palloncino) during some of the evenings, with an incident involving a known Serie A footballer at the Duca, Me Milan hotel.

Girls involved and intercepted conversations

More than a hundred girls, both Italian and foreign, some reportedly very young, were allegedly involved in the evenings. While some were employed as image girls, hostesses, or table companions, others were reportedly available as escorts for paid sexual relations with guests, primarily professional footballers. The agency owners, Buttini and Ronchi, allegedly retained at least 50% of the payment, with the remainder given to the girls in cash envelopes based on services rendered.

Intercepted communications have provided further insight into the alleged activities. In a particularly striking exchange, a girl, speaking with Alessio Salamone, revealed a personal concern: "Uh… don't tell anyone… but I just took the test and I'm pregnant, for more than three weeks… so it's his…" The names of the footballers and other VIPs involved have been omitted from the official ordinance.

It has been clarified that no footballers are currently under investigation. As clients, their alleged participation in these services does not constitute a crime under Italian law. The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office continues its work to ascertain the full scope of the alleged operation.
