The 23-year-old Germany international worked through a solo session at Bayern’s Saebener Strasse base on Monday, two days after the frightening scene at the Allianz Arena. He did not join the open squad training taking place at the same time, and instead ran drills on his own, working for around 30 minutes on dribbling and shooting under close supervision.
German media reported he is in line to rejoin full team sessions later this week, ahead of Bayern’s Franz Beckenbauer Supercup opener away to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
A scare in the Bavarian heat
Musiala had just scored Bayern’s third goal in a 3-1 win over Leipzig when he fell in the opposition half in the 86th minute, without any contact from a defender. Team-mate Ismael Saibari reached him first and cushioned the fall before Joshua Kimmich sprinted over and Bayern’s medical staff came on to treat him.
The stadium fell silent as the emergency doctor worked on the grass. Musiala eventually walked off with the help of a club doctor, appearing shaken but conscious.

Temperatures in Munich were above 30 degrees Celsius at kick-off, and Musiala later complained of dizziness, circulatory problems and a feverish feeling, according to AFP sports subsidiary SID.
Neuer and Eberl short on answers
Bayern have released no formal diagnosis.
“It will become clear what it was. But of course we are keeping our fingers crossed,” captain Manuel Neuer said.
Board member for sport Max Eberl offered little more.
“The most important thing is that he is well,” Eberl said.
Initial checks by the club’s medical team reportedly turned up nothing serious, and the plan is for the player to rest, be monitored and be worked back in gradually.
From a broken leg to a benching in Boston
Musiala missed the first half of the 2025-26 season after breaking his leg at the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States. He recovered in time to make Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad for the 2026 World Cup, but was left out of the starting line-up for the last-32 tie against Paraguay in Boston, where Germany were dumped out on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Bayern, the reigning Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double winners, face Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday 22 August.
