Kylian Mbappé’s priority if he leaves Real Madrid in 2027 is Liverpool, Spanish journalist François Gallardo has claimed, with the Premier League club already having opened a direct line to the forward’s mother and agent, Fayza Lamari.
The fee named sits between €200m and €250m, a figure that would set a new world transfer record.
Gallardo spelled out his read of the situation in a single paragraph.
“Several Premier League teams are interested in Kylian Mbappé, but the player’s priority is Liverpool. They have already contacted Lamari in recent weeks. The player doesn’t feel loved or supported in the Real Madrid dressing room and that makes him uncomfortable. The transfer fee would be between 200 and 250 million euros.”

The dressing-room claim lands against a strong personal start to the season: Mbappé has eight goals and two assists in eight appearances for Madrid.
Madrid’s renew-or-sell ultimatum
Real Madrid have set their own deadline: renew by summer 2027 or go on the market, with the club determined not to let Mbappé run down a contract that expires in 2029.
Mbappé joined on a free from Paris Saint-Germain in 2024, so letting the deal run to its final year would mean losing him for nothing. The 2027 ultimatum is Madrid’s way of avoiding that outcome.
Diego Torres Romano reports that if the forward does sign a new deal, it would be at a figure that puts him beyond any other player on the planet.

“He would only renew with Madrid in exchange for 60 million euros net a year,” Romano said.
Mbappé’s actual preference, Romano adds, is a free transfer letter from the club. If Madrid refuses, he will see out his deal professionally.
Fayza Lamari’s Anfield history
Lamari is not a stranger to Anfield. During her son’s teenage years at Monaco, she was involved in talks with then-manager Jürgen Klopp about a 2017 move to Liverpool, before the family chose Paris Saint-Germain instead.
None of the parties has confirmed negotiations. The report, built on Gallardo’s claims, has not been corroborated by Liverpool, Real Madrid or Mbappé’s camp.
