Rodrygo has reportedly made up his mind: he no longer wants to play for Real Madrid. According to the Daily Mail, the Brazilian feels pushed aside in favour of Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé — a situation that could see him leave the club this summer.
The 24-year-old chose to opt out of Sunday’s El Clásico clash despite being available for selection. On Tuesday, he returned to training ahead of the match against Mallorca, but sources close to the player claim he is angry, isolated, and determined to move on.

Pushed out of Real Madrid’s star-studded attack
Rodrygo, who has played over 250 matches for Real Madrid since joining from Santos in 2019, had hoped to take on a leading role in the attack alongside fellow Brazilian Vinicius Jr. However, with the arrivals of Bellingham and Mbappé, both media attention and playing time have shifted dramatically.
According to the Daily Mail, Rodrygo has felt increasingly marginalised — both tactically and personally — especially since Mbappé’s inclusion in a front line now built around the Frenchman and the English midfield star. As a result, Rodrygo has found himself sidelined — both on the pitch and in the team hierarchy.
Ancelotti’s departure could accelerate Rodrygo’s exit
Carlo Ancelotti, known to have a close relationship with Rodrygo, was officially announced as Brazil’s new national team coach on Monday. His departure opens the door for Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso, who is expected to take over in Madrid. But the question remains whether Alonso will even get the chance to coach Rodrygo.
The tactical puzzle has already cost Rodrygo his place in several key matches, with Ancelotti instead favouring a front three of Vinicius, Bellingham and Mbappé. Now it seems this is no longer just a tactical matter — Rodrygo feels deliberately overlooked.

Rodrygo’s dissatisfaction has sparked transfer rumours across Europe — and particularly in the Premier League. English media report that Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have all shown interest in the Brazilian forward.
A potential move to England would add a new attacking dimension to the Premier League, and Rodrygo would arrive with a wealth of experience and silverware: two Champions League titles, three LaLiga championships, and a Copa del Rey victory with Real Madrid.
If this summer marks his farewell to the Bernabéu, it would signal the end of an era — and the start of a high-stakes transfer battle for a player who no longer feels at home in Madrid.
