Saka nearing long-term Arsenal commitment

Premier League leaders Arsenal continue their drive to secure the futures of their key players, having already tied defender William Saliba to a new five-year contract earlier this season. Manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta are now focused on ensuring Saka remains central to the club’s long-term vision.

Talks progressing positively

Romano reported that discussions between Arsenal and Saka’s representatives have been “productive,” with both parties eager to extend their partnership well into the future.

“We can’t predict the future, but that is the intention. Saka and Arsenal are very happy together, also for the long-term,” Romano told subscribers.

Saka’s current deal runs for another 18 months and is worth up to £295,000 per week including bonuses. Within the club, there is growing belief that an agreement is close after months of steady negotiations.

A cornerstone for club and country

A graduate of Arsenal’s Hale End academy, Saka has become one of the most influential players in both Arteta’s squad and England’s national team. His goal in England’s 3–0 World Cup qualifying win over Serbia showcased his sharp form, with former defender Rio Ferdinand describing him as “world-class.”

According to GIVEMESPORT’s data partner Sofascore, Saka recorded three shots, completed two accurate crosses, and scored once in that match — further underlining his consistency and importance on the pitch.

Deal expected soon

Romano added on the Market Madness podcast that Arsenal made Saka’s contract renewal a top priority during the summer and expect fresh terms to be finalized soon. The 24-year-old is poised to become one of the club’s highest earners, reflecting both his impact and his growth since breaking into the first team.

Few players embody Arsenal’s modern resurgence quite like Saka. Securing his long-term future would not only reward his rise from academy talent to superstar but also reinforce Arsenal’s foundation as they aim to sustain their Premier League title challenge.
