Reports emerging from Spain suggest Newcastle could face a fight to keep Sandro Tonali this summer, with both Liverpool and Arsenal tracking his situation closely, according to Football-Talk.
Liverpool’s campaign has fallen well short of expectations this season. With just 39 points collected from 25 outings, they find themselves trailing Arsenal by 17 points.
Difficult deal
Spanish outlet Fichajes reports that Tonali could be on his way out of Newcastle this summer.
The midfielder joined from AC Milan for £55 million in 2023, and Newcastle are reportedly demanding at least £100 million for him.

The Italian international is seen as a strong fit for Arne Slot’s fast and direct style of play.
At the same time, both Inter and Juventus are monitoring the young midfielder.
According to the outlet, Tonali’s agent has opened the door to a possible summer move. The interest is there, but several factors could complicate a deal.
Battle for places
Qualification for Europe’s top competition could ultimately shape Tonali’s decision.

Liverpool are not currently on course to qualify for the Champions League, and if that remains the case, they would either need favourable results from other English clubs or have to win the competition themselves to secure a place.
Playing time could also prove decisive. At Anfield, Tonali would face competition from the likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Curtis Jones.
Arsenal may present a similar challenge, with Martin Zubimendi and Declan Rice difficult to displace.
Only time will tell where the Italian ultimately ends up.
