According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. has made his long-term intentions clear, insisting he wants to spend the rest of his career at the Santiago Bernabéu while remaining relaxed over ongoing contract negotiations. The Brazilian also spoke enthusiastically about Kylian Mbappé, describing the Frenchman as a “legendary player” who will “define an era at Madrid.”
Speaking in an interview with Caze TV, Vinicius Jr. reflected on what he described as a “turbulent season” for Real Madrid, but stressed that his commitment to the club has never wavered. Having joined Los Blancos for €45 million, the winger remains under contract until 2027.
His long-term vision at the Bernabéu
Despite speculation surrounding a new deal, Vinicius Jr. insisted there is no urgency to extend his contract, explaining that both he and the club are comfortable with the current situation.
“I’m not in a hurry to renew my contract. I’m tied to the club until 2027. So between now and 2027, there’s still a lot for Madrid and me to discuss. Madrid are calm, I’m calm. The president trusts me and I trust him. That’s all there is to it. We just have to wait, live each day and each moment, and enjoy being at the best club in the world.”

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the Brazil international also revealed he has no desire to play anywhere else, describing Real Madrid as the club of his dreams.
“I’ve never imagined myself away from Real Madrid. I enjoy every moment I spend here because this is my dream club. I always dreamed of playing here and being able to stay for so long. Now I’m one of the captains of the team. Even at such a young age, that’s something very special that doesn’t happen often in football history. So I enjoy every moment. I want to stay here for the rest of my life, but I’m still not in a hurry to renew my contract.”
Forging a bond with Mbappé
Vinicius Jr. also spoke about his relationship with Kylian Mbappé, revealing he had regularly encouraged the French superstar to move to Madrid and believes the pair can dominate together in the future.
“I’ve always had a great relationship with Mbappé, even off the pitch. I used to send him a lot of messages telling him to come to Madrid. We still haven’t managed to play as well as we want together or win titles, but we’ll turn the situation around. He’s a great person. He always defends me in interviews and on the pitch, like he did against Benfica. I would defend him too. He’s a legendary player who is going to define an era at Madrid.”
