Who are the favourites to win this year’s Champions League title?
Paris Saint-Germain aren’t showing any signs of slowing down after last season’s Champions League triumph. Luis Enrique’s men have carried their momentum straight into the new campaign, winning 10 of their first 13 matches and scoring for fun along the way.
Their comeback win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Super Cup showed resilience, while dominant European victories over Atalanta, Barcelona, and Bayer Leverkusen have reinforced their reputation as Europe’s most complete side. The 7–0 hammering of Leverkusen was a particular highlight — a masterclass in attack and control.
Even without Ballon d’Or winner Ousmane Dembélé, PSG haven’t missed a beat. Sixteen different players have already found the net this season, underlining the depth and balance Enrique has built.
“This team refuses to be satisfied with last year’s success,” Enrique said after their win in Barcelona. “They want to prove they can go again.”

Next up? A blockbuster clash with Bayern Munich that could tell us just how unstoppable this PSG side really is.
Arsenal – Arteta’s project reaches the next level
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are finally looking like the finished product. The Gunners have taken huge steps forward over the past few seasons, and this year, they might just be ready to conquer Europe.
Arsenal have won 11 of their 13 games so far and haven’t conceded a single goal in the Champions League. They’ve been rock-solid defensively — five straight clean sheets, only three teams scoring against them in all competitions — and they’re playing with maturity and control.
The Premier League table tells the same story. Arteta’s men are four points clear at the top after another strong weekend result, and new signings like Viktor Gyökeres have hit the ground running.

Arsenal are one of only five teams with a perfect record in Europe this season, and confidence is sky-high. The real test, though, will be how they handle the schedule when domestic and European challenges start to collide.
If Arteta can manage that balance, the Gunners could finally turn potential into silverware.
Bayern Munich – ruthless and relentless
Then there’s Bayern Munich — and they’re a machine right now. Under Vincent Kompany, the German champions have been near-perfect, winning every game this season and sitting five points clear at the top of the Bundesliga.
They’ve scored four or more goals in six of their 13 matches, according to Opta data, and they’ve done it playing some of the most fluid, attacking football anywhere in Europe. Even the continent’s biggest clubs will think twice before drawing Bayern in the knockout stages.

At the heart of it all is Harry Kane, who’s been on another level. The England captain has racked up 27 combined goals and assists in his last 18 games — 12 in the Bundesliga and five in Europe. His chemistry with Leroy Sané and Jamal Musiala has made Bayern’s attack look unstoppable.
“Kane’s lifted the whole team,” Kompany said recently. “He makes everyone around him better.”
Their upcoming clashes with PSG and Arsenal will reveal just how dominant Bayern can be, but right now, they look ready to take on anyone.
Who’s the real favourite?
All three of these European heavyweights have a legitimate claim to being the best team in the world right now. PSG’s depth and balance, Arsenal’s tactical structure, and Bayern’s pure firepower make for an explosive mix.

One thing’s for sure — if the Champions League continues at this pace, we’re in for one of the most competitive seasons in years.
And come the business end of the campaign, it’s hard to imagine anyone else standing in their way.
