FC Barcelona has clinched the La Liga title, defeating rivals Real Madrid 2-0 in a pivotal El Clasico encounter, a victory that also saw the club establish a new revenue record for the iconic fixture. This dual triumph underscores a period of both sporting success and financial growth for the Catalan giants.
The decisive win at Spotify Camp Nou secured Barcelona their fifth trophy under the leadership of Hansi Flick. Goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres sealed the 2-0 victory, ensuring Barcelona needed only a single point to secure the league crown.
Record-breaking revenue
The match generated an unprecedented €16.4 million in revenue, according to AS, a figure that club executives believe could still see a slight upward adjustment. This new benchmark significantly surpasses the previous Clasico record of €13.8 million.
Barcelona CEO Manel del Rio highlighted the achievement, especially considering the circumstances surrounding the stadium’s current capacity.

80% of the total capacity for the match was allocated to season ticket holders or members with individual tickets.
The Spotify Camp Nou recorded its highest attendance of the season with 62,213 spectators.
“It’s important to understand that 80% of the total capacity was for season ticket holders or members with individual tickets. But with that percentage and seeing the demand, we’ve achieved a record revenue compared to last year: €13.8 million. We’ll be above €16 million,” Del Rio stated.
Stadium redevelopment and future strategy
The record revenue was achieved despite Spotify Camp Nou not operating at its full capacity, as the stadium is currently undergoing significant redevelopment works. Barcelona returned to their home ground on November 22, and once all renovations are complete, the stadium is projected to accommodate nearly 105,000 fans.

Del Rio also shed light on the club’s long-term financial strategy. “This is important news for the project. We’re shifting the business towards the VIP product, but members will have priority,” he explained, indicating a strategic focus on premium offerings while maintaining commitment to its core fanbase.
The La Liga title win against Real Madrid, combined with the record-setting revenue, signifies a strong period for FC Barcelona, demonstrating their ability to achieve top-tier sporting success while simultaneously strengthening their financial position amidst ongoing stadium transformations.
