Roc Nation Sports International has issued a strongly worded warning to media outlets over what it considers inaccurate coverage of its clients. According to SPORTbible’s report on the statement, international president Michael Yormark published the message on Instagram on Sunday evening. Neither Vinícius Júnior, Arsenal nor Yan Diomande was mentioned by name.

Roc Nation demands accountability

Yormark wrote: “Roc Nation Sports International and our entire team cannot stand idle when unprofessional and uninformed media publish fake and damaging information for attention-seeking purposes. This is especially unacceptable when it personally targets our clients without any foundation.” The statement represented a rare public intervention from one of football’s most influential agencies.

He continued: “It is disruptive, harmful and libellous. Media outlets and journalists need to hold themselves more accountable.” Roc Nation did not identify the reports it considered inaccurate or explain whether legal action was being considered. The exact target of its criticism therefore remains unclear.

Vinícius rumours dominate the headlines

SPORTbible placed the statement in the context of reports linking Vinícius with a move from Real Madrid to Arsenal. That connection is an interpretation based on timing, rather than something confirmed by Roc Nation. The Brazilian has one year remaining on his contract, which is due to expire in June 2027, but no formal Arsenal offer has been publicly confirmed.

Mikel Arteta was asked about Arsenal’s transfer activity after Vinícius’s name was raised before a pre-season victory over Girona. The manager replied: “We are very active, trying to improve and evolve the team. That’s clear. We expect to have movements in the next few weeks, obviously, because we want to get better like anybody else.” Arteta did not confirm an approach for Vinícius or directly discuss the player.

Diomande deal complicated by agency complaint

A separate dispute surrounds Roc Nation client Yan Diomande, who has been heavily linked with Real Madrid. According to an article by Spanish newspaper AS, Maxidel Management has filed a complaint with FIFA alleging a breach of its representation agreement with the 19-year-old. The company is owned by former Ivory Coast international Max Gradel and previously worked with Diomande before Roc Nation began handling his affairs.

AS reported that the complaint could affect the International Transfer Certificate required to register Diomande in Spain. The newspaper suggested that FIFA could issue provisional clearance while the representation and financial dispute is considered. FIFA has not publicly announced a decision, while Real Madrid and RB Leipzig have yet to confirm the transfer.

According to a separate update from Managing Madrid, negotiations between Real Madrid and Leipzig were still continuing, with no agreement reached at that stage. It is therefore premature to state as fact that the transfer is complete and being delayed solely by the agency dispute. Diomande remains an RB Leipzig player and has taken part in the German club’s pre-season preparations.

What Roc Nation actually confirmed

Roc Nation represents several prominent footballers, including Vinícius, Endrick and Diomande. The number of transfer stories involving its clients provides a possible explanation for Yormark’s frustration, but the agency did not make that link itself. Any suggestion that the statement specifically denied an Arsenal move or addressed the Diomande complaint would go beyond what was published.

The only confirmed target of the statement was media coverage that Roc Nation considers unfounded and damaging. The transfer reports involving Vinícius and Diomande remain separate stories with no completed deals publicly announced. Yormark’s intervention was a general demand for greater responsibility, not a direct clarification of either player’s future.
