Roc Nation Sports International has issued a scathing statement, condemning “unprofessional and uninformed media” for publishing “fake and damaging information” that “personally targets our clients without any foundation.” The powerful agency’s comments arrive amidst a flurry of transfer speculation involving two of its high-profile clients: Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior and RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.

The agency, which also represents talents like Gabriel Martinelli and Endrick, expressed its frustration, stating, “Roc Nation Sports International and our entire team cannot stand idle when unprofessional and uninformed media publish fake and damaging information for attention-seeking purposes. This is especially unacceptable when it personally targets our clients without any foundation. It is disruptive, harmful and libellous. Media outlets and journalists need to hold themselves more accountable.” While the statement, reported by GiveMeSport, did not name specific players or clubs, it landed squarely in the middle of intense media scrutiny surrounding Vinicius Junior’s future and Diomande’s potential move to Real Madrid.

Vinicius Junior’s future sparks conflicting reports

The spotlight has been particularly bright on Vinicius Junior, Real Madrid’s dynamic winger, who is currently engaged in crucial contract talks with the Spanish giants. His current deal is set to expire in 2027, and should no agreement be reached, the prospect of him leaving for free next summer looms large – a scenario Real Madrid is keen to avoid for such a star player. Amidst this backdrop, Premier League champions Arsenal have emerged as a potential destination, reportedly best-positioned to sign the Brazilian if Real Madrid were to consider a sale.

The speculation intensified recently when trusted Arsenal insider HandofArsenal reported that Vinicius Junior had agreed personal terms with the London club. This claim, however, was swiftly countered by Spanish journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon, who reported that Vinicius’ entourage denied any such agreement. HandofArsenal, for their part, remained steadfast, stating, “We fully expect Roc Nation to deny it but we stand on our information.”

Diomande transfer saga ignites journalistic dispute

Adding to the volatile transfer landscape, Roc Nation client Yan Diomande, currently with RB Leipzig, has also found himself at the centre of transfer rumours linking him to Real Madrid. The pursuit of Diomande has even led to a public spat between prominent transfer journalists Florian Plettenberg and Fabrizio Romano.

Romano claimed that a move for Diomande would soon materialize, giving it his signature ‘Here We Go’ treatment. Plettenberg, however, insisted that a full agreement had not yet been reached for the winger. The disagreement escalated when Plettenberg warned Romano he had “crossed a line” by accusing him of “fake news,” highlighting the tension and scrutiny surrounding transfer reporting in the current climate.
