Como’s ambitions are being tested by their most significant transfer pursuit to date. Cesc Fàbregas’ side have submitted an improved offer for Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, who has reportedly indicated that he would welcome the move. The proposal is substantial, but it has not yet produced an agreement between the clubs.
Como return with an improved bid
According to Sky Sport Italia’s report on the negotiations, Como have offered €35 million with another €5 million available through bonuses. Fiorentina had not accepted the proposal at the time of reporting and wanted to find a suitable replacement before allowing Kean to leave. Como were expecting an answer within 48 hours.
The total value is therefore often described as €40 million, but five million of that amount depends on unspecified bonus conditions. Como have reportedly reached a broad agreement with Kean, making Fiorentina’s approval the remaining major obstacle. No medical examination or official announcement has taken place.
Fiorentina set three conditions
Sporting director Fabio Paratici has made clear that the club are not under financial pressure. “We do not need to sell,” he said before Fiorentina’s match against Roma. He added that a player would only leave after requesting a transfer, receiving an adequate offer and being replaced by someone of equal or greater quality.

According to Sam Wilson’s account for Football Italia, Kean’s absence from the starting line-up against Roma attracted attention because of the negotiations. Fiorentina coach Fabio Grosso insisted that the decision was tactical and praised the striker’s professionalism. Kean remained involved in the match despite the uncertainty surrounding his future.
Finding a replacement remains decisive
Fiorentina have considered Everton forward Beto and Chelsea’s Emmanuel Emegha as potential replacements. Neither alternative was confirmed, leaving the club unwilling to release its leading striker without protection. Waiting too long could also make it difficult to complete two connected transfers before the window closes.
Kean would represent a major signing for Como and could become the central figure in Fàbregas’ attack. However, his reported willingness to move does not give him control over the transfer. Como have made their strongest financial move, but Fiorentina still hold the contract and the final decision.
