Alexa Grasso will walk into the Desert Diamond Arena as the Mexican Independence weekend crowd’s pick. She will not walk in as the sportsbooks’ pick.
The women’s flyweight bout with Manon Fiorot opened at -300 for Fiorot and +245 for Grasso, the widest opening line of any fight on the main card. The number has since tightened to Fiorot -245 and Grasso +205 at Bovada, with FanDuel offering Grasso as long as +195.
Grasso is embracing it.
“I think it’s a fight that has to be. She’s No. 2, I’m No. 3. We both fought for the title, we both want to fight for the title again,” she told reporters in the fight-week build-up.

“I love challenges because they make me grow and they can make me better.”
The title picture behind the fight
Valentina Shevchenko vacated the women’s flyweight championship after suffering shoulder and back injuries that require around eight months of recovery. Natalia Silva and Wang Cong will now contest the vacant belt in the main event of UFC 332 in Salt Lake City on October 3.
That leaves the winner of Grasso vs. Fiorot as the leading candidate for the next title shot behind them. Grasso is coming off a first-round knockout of Maycee Barber in March 2026 that broke a two-fight losing streak, one of those losses coming against Silva. Fiorot, ranked No. 2 at flyweight, has won four in a row, most recently stopping Jasmine Jasudavicius, and lost a title fight on points to Shevchenko last year.
Not the biggest favorite of the night
Fiorot’s number is not the widest on the card. In a middleweight preliminary bout, Yousri Belgaroui opened at -700 over Djorden Santos and has since drifted out to as high as -850 with the fight approaching, a gap wider than any main-card line. In the featherweight main event, Jean Silva opened at -250 over Arizona’s Jose Delgado.

Brandon Moreno vs. Joseph Morales is the co-main event at flyweight. Curtis Blaydes meets Waldo Cortes-Acosta at heavyweight, and David Martinez faces Dan Ige at bantamweight.
Grasso vs. Fiorot goes fourth on the six-fight main card at the Desert Diamond Arena on Saturday.
