Four minutes. That is what Endrick has to show for his season at Real Madrid, and the Brazil forward has decided it is time to go again.

The 20-year-old is pushing for a second loan exit in January, Spanish radio station Cadena Ser reported on Tuesday, with Aston Villa understood to be the frontrunner ahead of Olympique Lyonnais and Roma.

Endrick’s single appearance of the 2026-27 campaign came as a late substitute against Elche in September. Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, Brahim Díaz and summer signing Carlos Espí all sit ahead of him in Jose Mourinho’s forward line, and he has stayed on the bench for Real’s last four fixtures.

Champions League makes Villa Park the draw

Villa are the favoured destination because of what they can put on the table. According to Cadena Ser, the Premier League side’s Champions League participation under Unai Emery is a decisive factor in Endrick’s thinking.

Villa opened their league phase campaign in September and remain in the competition. Lyon are not, which turns the French option into a return rather than a step up.

Lyon want a reunion

Lyon would welcome him back after a loan spell that produced eight goals and eight assists in 21 appearances in the second half of last season. That form was enough to earn Endrick a place in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad, but not enough to change his situation at the Bernabéu once he came back.

Roma remain in the picture too. According to Madrid Universal, the Italian club came close to signing him over the summer, with an agreement all but settled before Mourinho stepped in and convinced him to stay. The deal with the Portuguese coach at that point was that the situation would be reassessed in January.

Nothing formal yet

No club has opened formal talks with Endrick’s representatives, according to the Cadena Ser report. The next transfer window opens on January 1.
