A goalless Ligue 1 campaign for Kvaratskhelia and a sixth-place start for PSG have handed the French press an obvious story. Luis Enrique has no interest in telling it.
Speaking ahead of PSG’s home fixture against Le Mans on Saturday, the Spaniard was asked repeatedly about the Georgia winger’s form after the international break.
“Kvara is a very high-level player who has shown it in important moments. I’m very pleased to have him in the squad. But he’s not a machine, he remains human. It’s normal to have strong periods and weaker moments. There’s nothing concerning,” Luis Enrique told reporters.
The 25-year-old has one assist and no goals in five Ligue 1 appearances this season, after joining PSG from Napoli for €70m in January 2025. Last season he closed with eight league goals and four assists, and added ten more goals in the Champions League as PSG lifted the trophy.

PSG sixth after five matches
Paris have taken eight points from their opening five fixtures, two wins, two draws, and a defeat, and sit sixth in Ligue 1. Luis Enrique acknowledged the gap between the current standing and the club’s ambitions.
“We will be at Parc des Princes with our supporters, and we want to climb the table. That’s why we’ll be looking to win all three points,” he said at the same press conference.
He added that the squad “would have deserved more points” from the opening run, and that collecting them against Le Mans mattered for the group’s confidence.
‘As usual, you worry about trivial things’
The press conference came after another quiet international break for Kvaratskhelia with Georgia.

“As usual, you worry about very trivial things,” Luis Enrique told the room, before closing out the subject by repeating that players are “human beings” and that fluctuations come with a long season at the top level.
Luis Enrique signed a contract extension in September that runs until 2030.
Kick-off against Le Mans is at 8:45pm local time on Saturday at Parc des Princes.
