The transfer story has been pushed by Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, who writes that Arsenal and United are both tracking Tresoldi, with Chelsea and Tottenham also said to be interested.
Tresoldi, who turned 22 in August, has scored 12 goals in 14 matches in all competitions for Brugge this season, according to the same report. Kane, the Bayern Munich striker Tresoldi is now sharing a statistical line with, was crowned 2026 Ballon d’Or winner on 26 October, becoming the first English winner in 25 years.
Six-way tie at the top in Europe
The Champions League top-scorer picture is tight. UEFA’s own tally after matchday three has Tresoldi on four goals alongside Kane, Haaland, Ermedin Demirović, Serhou Guirassy and Luis Suárez.
Tresoldi’s share of that count came in one night in Milan. He scored three times as Brugge beat Inter 4-3 at San Siro on 13 October, opening from the penalty spot in the 30th minute and completing his hat-trick in the 74th. He was named man of the match.

The Italian-born forward, who plays internationally for Germany at under-21 level, told Yahoo Sports afterwards that the venue had made the night personal.
“As an AC Milan fan, it was a little derby for me. It was a crazy and indescribable night.”
The same hat-trick made him the youngest German to score three in a Champions League match, at 22 years and 54 days.
Brugge’s stance and the Tzolis precedent
Brugge are not expected to let Tresoldi leave in January. He is contracted to the Belgian champions until 2029, and Football Insider says the club will refuse to sell mid-season while insisting that holding on to him beyond next summer will be “difficult”.
Arsenal already have a template for doing business with the Jupiler Pro League side. In July they signed winger Christos Tzolis from Brugge for a reported £34m, a Belgian league record. According to the Football Insider report, Arsenal would like to repeat that trick.

Yahoo Sports has also put Manchester City, Chelsea, Everton and Leeds United on the list of English clubs scouting Tresoldi, in a story that leans more heavily on the tug-of-war between Germany and Italy over his senior international future.
Brugge’s next Champions League assignment is away at PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday 4 November.
