David and Victoria Beckham publicly celebrate Brooklyn’s 27th birthday
David and Victoria Beckham publicly wished their son Brooklyn a happy birthday this week, sharing affectionate messages on social media despite a reported strain in their relationship.
Brooklyn Beckham turned 27, and both parents posted tributes on Instagram that appeared to acknowledge the occasion publicly for the first time since tensions within the family became widely reported earlier this year.
Birthday posts shared online
David Beckham shared a childhood photograph showing himself and Victoria standing in a swimming pool with a young Brooklyn. Alongside the image, the former England captain wrote: “27 Today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you.”
He later uploaded another picture featuring just himself and his son, adding the message: “Happy Birthday Bust, Love you.”

Victoria Beckham also posted the same family pool photo, writing: “Happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.” In a separate post, she shared an image of Brooklyn as a baby with the caption: “Happy 27th birthday Brooklyn, I love you so much.”
Brooklyn Beckham had not publicly responded to the messages at the time of writing.
Dispute became public earlier this year
Tensions within the Beckham family came into the spotlight in January after Brooklyn criticised his parents in a social media post.
Several media outlets reported that Brooklyn accused David and Victoria Beckham of interfering in his relationship with his wife, actress Nicola Peltz. The couple married in April 2022 in a widely publicised ceremony in Florida.

Brooklyn also made claims about how his parents behaved around the time of the wedding, allegations that drew significant attention in entertainment media and intensified speculation about a family rift.
Limited contact reported
Following the dispute, a number of publications reported that communication between Brooklyn and his parents had been limited.
Brooklyn currently lives in Beverly Hills, California, with Peltz, where the couple have frequently shared updates about their life and work on social media.
While neither side has spoken publicly in detail about the disagreement, the birthday tributes from David and Victoria Beckham represent a rare public gesture toward their eldest son since the disagreement became widely discussed.
