Michael Carrick meets Ratcliffe as Manchester United future remains unclear
Michael Carrick has confirmed he recently held talks with Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, as questions continue over his long-term role at the club.
The former midfielder suggested he would welcome the opportunity to stay on but acknowledged that the final decision lies beyond his control.
Low-key meeting signals support
Speaking about the meeting, Carrick described it as informal but positive, emphasizing the sense of unity within the club.
“We had a chat, a cup of tea… It was nice to see him showing his support,” Carrick said. “As a football club we’re hugely connected, it’s a big part. I’m really conscious that’s how it should be.”
