Six concerts beat five league victories
Tottenham’s prolonged home struggles have produced an extraordinary comparison involving one of the world’s biggest music stars.
Since November 2024, Spurs have recorded only five league victories across 36 matches at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Beyoncé, meanwhile, performed six concerts at the same venue during a single run in June 2025.
The unusual statistic means the stadium has hosted more Beyoncé concerts than Tottenham home league wins during the period. It is a comparison between two very different types of event, but one that underlines the scale of the club’s decline on its own ground.
According to SPORTbible’s account of the statistic, Spurs have won only one of their opening seven matches in all competitions this season, a 5–1 Carabao Cup victory over Charlton.

Beyoncé broke the stadium’s concert record
Beyoncé performed at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 and 16 as part of her Cowboy Carter Tour.
The six-night run attracted more than 275,000 spectators in total and generated more than £45 million in revenue. It set venue records for the largest number of concerts and the most tickets sold by a single artist.
The figures also corrected an error contained in some coverage of the story. More than 275,000 people attended across the six shows combined, not at each individual concert.
Her performances surpassed the five nights she played at the stadium during the Renaissance World Tour in 2023. As PCN Magazine described, the 2025 run gave Beyoncé the venue’s record for both ticket sales and concert revenue by one artist.

Tottenham’s home record reaches historic low
The more serious statistic concerns Tottenham’s five victories in 36 home league matches. No other club has endured such a poor sequence at home while remaining continuously in the English top division since league football began in 1888.
Spurs’ latest home defeat came against Aston Villa, who won 3–2 before the international break. Roberto De Zerbi’s side entered the pause bottom of the Premier League with two points from five matches and no league victories.
Tottenham had invested heavily in the playing squad during the summer, raising expectations after consecutive 17th-place finishes. Instead, the team’s lack of confidence and defensive vulnerability have continued.
De Zerbi was heavily critical after the Villa defeat. “Football is like life, you are strong or you lose,” he said in comments reproduced by The Guardian.

The stadium succeeds while the team struggles
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has become a major destination for concerts, NFL games and other large events. Its commercial success away from football has provided the club with significant additional income.
The contrast with results on the pitch is becoming difficult to ignore. While the venue continues to attract record-breaking crowds, Tottenham have made it an unusually welcoming place for visiting Premier League teams.
Beyoncé’s six shows are ultimately a humorous measuring stick rather than a sporting comparison. The fact that her total remains higher than Tottenham’s home league wins over 36 matches, however, captures the club’s crisis more effectively than many conventional statistics.
