Brooklyn Beckham comments reappear amid family rift reports

A resurfaced interview clip featuring Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz has drawn renewed attention online, as ongoing speculation continues around strained relationships within the Beckham family.

The footage, recorded several years ago, has begun circulating again amid heightened scrutiny of Brooklyn’s relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham a situation that has played out largely through tabloid reports and social media analysis rather than public statements from the family themselves.

A family under the spotlight

Brooklyn Beckham, 26, is the eldest child of former England football captain David Beckham and fashion designer Victoria Beckham. He grew up in the public eye alongside his three younger siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper as the family became one of Britain’s most recognisable celebrity households.

In 2020, Brooklyn began dating American actress Nicola Peltz. Their relationship progressed quickly, culminating in a high-profile wedding in 2022 that attracted intense media coverage on both sides of the Atlantic.

Following the ceremony, several entertainment outlets reported that relations between Brooklyn and other members of the family had become strained. Neither Brooklyn nor his parents have publicly detailed the nature of any disagreements.

Reports of disagreements and speculation

One early source of tension, according to multiple media reports, centred on Nicola’s wedding dress. Tabloid coverage suggested disagreements between Nicola and Victoria Beckham during the wedding preparations, a claim that has never been directly addressed by either woman.

According to TMZ, further strain emerged later around Brooklyn’s younger brother Romeo. The outlet reported that Brooklyn had raised concerns about Romeo’s relationship with British model and DJ Kim Turnbull, allegedly questioning her motives a claim that contributed to wider speculation about a family rift.

Social media and legal claims

Public interest intensified last month after fans noticed what appeared to be changes in family members’ social media activity. Rumours circulated that David and Victoria Beckham had unfollowed Brooklyn online.

Cruz Beckham responded directly to the speculation on Instagram, writing: “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked as did I.”

Soon after, the Daily Mail reported that legal correspondence had been exchanged between Brooklyn and his parents via their respective legal teams. The report described an “exchange of legal letters” but noted there was no formal legal action taken and no clear basis for one.

Old interview, new attention

Against that backdrop, a 2022 interview with GQ featuring Brooklyn and Nicola has resurfaced and gained traction online. In the clip, Brooklyn playfully asked his wife: “Who is my favourite sibling?”

Nicola replied: “I don't know about your favourite, but I would say you're closest in personality wise to Cruz. Like most similar to Cruz.”

Brooklyn responded by stressing his closeness to all his siblings, saying: “I don't have a favourite. I love all three of them. I'm really close with all of them, but me and Cruz are a lot more similar.”

Nicola then added: “Harper is an angel. They're all angels.”

While the comments were light-hearted at the time, their reappearance illustrates how past moments can take on new significance when celebrity families find themselves under renewed public scrutiny.
