FIA trims Suzuka qualifying energy limit after early 2026 concerns
According to Lewis Larkam of Crash.net, the FIA has made a late change ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix by cutting the qualifying energy limit from 9MJ to 8MJ per lap. The move is designed to reduce the amount of energy saving drivers need to do at Suzuka and to limit the “super clipping” that became a major talking point earlier in the season.
