Saburtalo represents a newer chapter in Georgian football, having been founded in 1999. Emerging from the capital city of Tbilisi, they are one of the more recent additions to the nation’s footballing landscape. Their relatively young history means they are still in the process of forging a deep-seated tradition compared to some of Europe’s older institutions.

Playing their home matches at the Mikheil Meskhis sakhelobis Stadioni, a venue with a significant capacity of 25453, hints at the club’s aspirations within Georgian football. This impressive ground provides a substantial stage for their domestic endeavors, reflecting a forward-looking approach as they aim to establish themselves firmly.

Without a long list of historical honours or globally recognized names, Saburtalo’s narrative is one of ongoing growth and development. They are a club building their identity brick by brick, aiming to carve out their own legacy in Georgian football and beyond.
